Bonaire East Coast Diving is since Febuary 1st, fully operational on the East Coast. After a month of cleaning, maintainance and upgrading the Zodiac Hurricane 920, it was time to start practising on the East- and North Coast of Bonaire. Ger Boermeester, the new boat captain: “Everything went even smoother than expected. During the extensive training, we’ve added a number of new divesites to our program, that previously existed of the Blue Hole and Funchi’s Reef.”
Wim Timmermans, instructor and dive supervisor, is also very enthousiastic: “In the past, people talked about ‘the wild side’. Our aim is to make the North and East Coast of Bonaire accessible to every diver. The diving is spectacular: on each dive we see numerous turtles, tarpon, eagle rays and stingrays, and we saw sharks on many occasions.” The help of James Thodé during practise was very welcome. He’s known locally for both his athletic capacities and his knowledge of boats and sailing.
The new owners, Roy Celestijn and Gijs Hoogerkamp, are busy with more improvements to Bonaire East Coast Diving. A unique new website was developed, where everyone can make a reservation and the truck, a Ford F-350, has magically become a work of art thanks to airbrush-artist Francy Stewart from Curacao. New radios, fire extinguishers and a state-of-the-art GPS were purchased. “At the moment, we’re expanding our network of agents. Wer’re very happy with the results; every organisation that has been approached so far, has agreed to cooperate and the first reservations have already been made,” says Gijs Hoogerkamp.
For information and/or reservations please refer to the website: Bonaire East Coast Diving , call us by phone: 717-5211 or inquire at your own dive operator.

Kas Blau, the blue house, is a lovely spacious holiday home that has everything Bonaire is known for: peace and quiet, spacious yet intimate, outdoor living…
Kas Blau is the right half of a semi-detached villa, with its own entrance and garden and a maximum of privacy. It is situated in the quiet area of Belnem, at walking distance (100m.) of a beautiful sandy little beach called ‘Bachelors Beach’ and only 10 car-minutes away from Kralendijk and 5 min. from Flamingo Airport.
The biggest eye-catcher of the house is the huge (75m2) porch at the back, furnished with a large dining table and chairs, deckchair, hammock and ceilingfan.
Plenty of shade outside during the whole day and the house stays cool at all times. In the lush tropical garden surrounding the porch, you will find mature trees with a hammock as well.
Kas Blau is very suitable for divers because of the convenient outside rinsetank and lockable storage room where you can hang your divegear.
To make a long story short: Kas Blau is a beautiful place where you will find the real tropical holiday feeling!!
